For the TACO exhibition I used a recording system called Binaural recording. This differs from the standard method in that when the sound recording is played back through headphones it imitates exactly the position of all the sounds around at that time. This creates a 3 dimensional experience that replicates the sounds as if the person listening is standing right there. For example, one would hear a train arriving to the left of them, or a shout from behind.With this technology I recorded various sound journeys.
